Two 12-inch TFT-LCDs released by Display Technology are designed for applications that require consistent readability in challenging conditions or full HD with low power consumption.

The AUO G121EAN01.2 12.1-inch WXGA display has white luminance of 1000Cd/m2 (typical) to display images, graphics, and text clearly under a high level of ambient light. It has a wide viewing angle, 89° in both axes for use in machine control panels, ticketing systems and small information displays, in exhibition booths, museums or galleries, for example. Operating ambient temperature range is -30°C to +85°C. It is suitable for outdoor use and the LED-backlight driver simplifies system integration, says the company.

The second LCD is the 12.5-inch LG LP125WF4-SPQ1. This slim display has a profile of just 2.85mm and an outline of 290mm x 170mm. It has full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has an embedded DisplayPort (eDP) interface for a high speed and frame rate, low power performance. It draws 2.8W (typical) overall. It is also characterised by low EMI. A companion LVDS-to-eDP interface board, LVDS2EDP-03, is also available for integration with systems that provide only an LVDS output, such as some industrial PCs.

Both displays have a 30-way connector for connection to the host system, requiring only the eDP or LVDS display signals, low-voltage logic power supply, and 12V backlight power supply. Both TFT-LCDs are in stock now.
